U.S. Citizen Services
The U.S. Citizen Services Section includes a Passport and Citizenship Unit and a Federal Benefits Unit.
It is responsible for providing services to all Americans within its consular district, whether they are living here permanently or just visiting as tourists. These services include emergency assistance, notarials, reports of birth/death abroad, shipping and seamen services, selective service registration, absentee voting, passport issuance, federal pension services, and more.
The office is open to the public for walk-in service for emergency services Monday through Friday (excluding American and Italian national holidays) from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
Non-emergency services (renewal of U.S. passports, Consular Reports of Birth Abroad, and notarials) provided by the American Citizen Services Unit at U.S. Consulate General Naples are available through an online appointment system only. Please click here to schedule an appointment.
In the case of a serious emergency affecting a U.S. citizen, a duty officer is also available outside of normal office hours.
